ASHVILLE PARK, VIRGINIA BEACH RAIN GARDEN

Facing persistent backyard flooding from stormwater runoff, this home needed a practical solution and a more sustainable design. We redirected the client’s downspout into a nearby rain garden and installed a rain chain that feeds into a dry creek bed, which doubles as a walkway leading to a future fire pit seating area. Native plants were strategically placed to absorb excess water, improve soil quality, and connect the space visually to the surrounding natural areas.
