SE Virginia Native Plant Seasonal Color (taken from my plant design palette)

My clients all want “year-round interest” in their garden. If you do as well, a seasonal color chart is a helpful tool. You can put something like this together yourself, or if you live in the SE Virginia(ish) area, you can cheat and borrow mine!

Seasonal color chart

This is a list of plants I commonly use in my design, and that I typically have access to. It is produced by the “PlantMaster” software I use for my client plant reports, and I should note that it is a California-based company, and I don’t always 100% agree with their information. It’s still a great starting point though for general seasonality. You may also notice a couple plants that are considered native to other parts of VA, or even just south of us here in Coastal SE VA, but they are plants that I use and consider to have thrive and have value locally, as climate and plants shift.

You can find a video about the list below, and sign up at the bottom of the page for your own free copy!

And of course, if you need additional consultation assistance putting together a plant list or design, feel free to contact me here.

Happy planting!
